thai greeting

SA-WAD-DII-KHA!!

Thai people greet by lifting the hands which join fingers to fingers,bending the head and say"sa-wad-dii".this greeting gestur is called"wai"which is equivalent to shaking hand. and the person,who is greeted should reply by"rap-wai"(same manner). Moreover you will find this gesture is also used in apologizing,expressing respect,etc

tip!!..."Khrap" word for male and "kha" word for female...those words are  polite words used at the end of sentence.
