Thai Reference Grammar is a good solid book. Any real student of Thai should get a copy. It is full of easily accessible explanations of Thai grammar points with clear examples.

Anyone studying a language will know that some books really fail to explain grammar well but this book is very good. The only problem is it is very much a reference book (in other words, it is very large). For a smaller but just as good reference guide try Thai: An Essential Grammar, by David Smyth
