This is a decent book to learn Italian phrases.  It's a good book to take and read to learn more slang like things.  It also gives good and useful vocabulary and phrases.

It has no Grammar at all and the phonetic representations aren't 100% but it's still a good book and I would recommend it to beginners.

Also the vocabulary is a little bit on the child side, since I think it is designed for kids pre- and early teens, maybe even younger.  It's still a good book and it has little cultural bits as well.
