I'll try my best!
Hello Mbrander As you may or may not know, we are a small team of volunteers working on Huitalk, with no budget. However, if there is one thing we love it's a challenge. We'll do our best to get some Hawaiian speakers as soon as possible for you. Interesting choice of language! How did you get started learning it? Thu, 17/05/2007 - 14:29
Thanks!
Thanks Ben, Funny thing is, while I was in Hawai'i I picked a up simple phrase book. It was so unique to most the other languages I've looked at I was hooked. I then bought a dictionary, a lesson book and some software. I should put more time into it but havnt, I thought this might motivate me to continue!. Thanks again! Sun, 20/05/2007 - 13:25
That's because it's a Creole
That's because it's a Creole now. Actually, it's a weird because it has a small amount of sounds, phonetically speaking. That and it has a CV (consonant vowel) structure, I think, so you have almost no consonant clusters or vowels before consonants. It's rather interesting really. |
