I'll try my best!

Hello Mbrander

As you may or may not know, we are a small team of volunteers working on Huitalk, with no budget. However, if there is one thing we love it's a challenge. We'll do our best to get some Hawaiian speakers as soon as possible for you.

Interesting choice of language! How did you get started learning it?

Thanks!

Thanks Ben,

Funny thing is, while I was in Hawai'i I picked a up simple phrase book. It was so unique to most the other languages I've looked at I was hooked. I then bought a dictionary, a lesson book and some software. I should put more time into it but havnt, I thought this might motivate me to continue!. Thanks again! Cool

That's because it's a Creole

That's because it's a Creole now.  Actually, it's a weird because it has a small amount of sounds, phonetically speaking.  That and it has a CV (consonant vowel) structure, I think, so you have almost no consonant clusters or vowels before consonants. It's rather interesting really.
