Is there anyone here, who would like to teach me spanish? But there is one problem, I don't know nothing about it ;) I can of course teach you polish in exchange. Can you propose me any site on which I can learn basics?(Like alphabet etc.)?

Well the first step would be like basic words ...

Hola - Hello

Adios - Goodbye

Gracias - Thank You

De Nada - Your Welcome

The verbs

Ser -To be

Yo Soy - I am

Tu Eres - You are

El/Ella Es - He/She is

Nosotros Somos - we are

Ellos/Ellas Son - they are

Tener - To Have

Yo tengo - I have

Tu Tienes - you have

El/Ella Tiene - He/She has

Nosotros Tenemos - We have

Ellos/Ellas Tienen - They have

This is MEXICAN Spanish ... just to let you know ...

Yo, tu el/ella, nosotros, VOSOTROS, ellos/ellas

mexicans dont ... is just like a bit of difference. But we understand each other and the language is 98% the same

It's worth mentioning that
It's worth mentioning that the "h" is silent in spanish.  So the word for hello, Hola, actually sounds like "ola".

And I think the J or G

And I think the J or G sounds different from how it would be in English...

You might want to browse some of the links from this page; I've found it very useful in finding places to study the languages I'm interested in.

awesome page of links

That's a really useful list of links! In fact that gives me an idea. I'm going to start a thread on web resources for Spanish. I know I have a load of links which are useful and I'm sure other people will have likewise.

Are you sure that they use the personal pronouns?

All my Spanish teachers (most of them coming from Spain) never made us use the pronouns. Actually, we only did when we needed to emphasize on something.

For instance, "Yo entiendo" is like when you say "I do understand", isn't it? I think when you only say "Entiendo", it is different.

Maybe I am wrong, just tell me what you think.

Well the word entiendo would work both ways

Yo entiendo

or

entiendo

its hard because sometimes you need the pronouns and sometimes you don't...

well went I speak spanish I use them like 50/50 ration I believe ...
